A Day of Exhibitions and Little Joys

Today in college everything went well and the day turned out to be quite exciting. In our campus, there was a small stall put up where they sold cute accessories. I couldn’t resist, so I bought some tiny earrings, a pretty ring, and a few small jewels. Altogether, I spent around 450 rupees, and I felt so happy with my little collection. It was a simple joy, but it made my day feel special.

After that, Botany Department organized a wonderful exhibition called “Celebration of Seeds as Food – Traditional Seed Cuisine.” The program was held in UG Lab II, and the entire space was filled with benches neatly arranged with different displays of seeds. Everywhere I turned, there were bowls showing so many varieties, and it was amazing to see how much nature offers us in such tiny forms.

Not just displays, they had also prepared some delicious food items using these seeds. We got to taste many of them, and that was the most enjoyable part. I especially liked the peanut poli, the gheer, and the dish made with chia seeds, which tasted unique and delicious. There were also preparations with ragi, maize etc ... each one had its own flavor. It felt like a small food journey, all within the walls of our department.

The exhibition was not only about tasting food but also about learning. We saw how many varieties of seeds exist and how they can be used in different ways to prepare healthy and traditional dishes. The atmosphere was lively, with students moving from table to table, tasting, discussing, and enjoying the experience.

By the end of the day, I felt happy both with the little accessories I had bought earlier and the knowledge and memories I carried from the exhibition. It was a day full of simple joys, good food, and new experiences, and I’m glad I could be part of it.
