A Day in My College Life

Every morning on my way to college, I listen to music in the bus. Today, I heard songs from my favorite singers Hariharan and Sid Sriram. Hariharan’s voice always feels peaceful, while Sid Sriram’s songs are full of emotion. Listening to them made my journey calm and refreshing, and it gave me a good mood for the whole day.

By 8:20 a.m., I reached college and went straight to my classes. The lectures were engaging. And After classes, I went to the library, which has always been one of my favorite places on campus. There, I picked up Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The play’s deep questions about life and human choices always leave me thinking. I also spent a little time with Macbeth, another masterpiece that shows how ambition and desire can shape destiny. Sitting quietly among the shelves, reading these works, felt like a pause from the busy pace of the day.

Later in the afternoon, I joined my friends in the canteen. We shared some snacks, laughed at our jokes, and spoke about simple things happening in our lives. Those small conversations added warmth to the day and reminded me how these everyday interactions make college life memorable.

By the evening, I was back on the bus heading home. Once again, Billie Eilish’s soulful songs and Justin Bieber’s lively tunes filled my ears, making the ride peaceful yet cheerful.

The day was filled with music, books, and peaceful moments. From the early bus ride, where melodies of Hariharan and Sid Sriram set the tone, to the quiet hours in the library with Shakespeare’s works, everything moved at its own gentle pace. There was no rush, no heavy schedule, just a steady flow of time that I could enjoy. Reading, attending classes, and preparing for my seminar all blended together into a calm routine. By the end of the day, I felt light and content, carrying with me the simple joy of music, learning, and stillness. It was a calm and happy day that left me with a pleasant feeling.

One fine day in my General Elective Botany class, I held something in my hand that changed the way I look at plants. It was not a pot, not a seed, not even soil. It was a simple glass flask covered with foil, and inside it, tiny green plants were growing. The flask looked ordinary, but what it carried was extraordinary.  This method, as my professor explained, is called plant tissue culture. From just a small piece of a plant, new plants can grow in a sterile glass container filled with nutrients. Holding it in my hands felt like holding a secret garden. I woke up earlier than usual, and because of that, I managed to catch the bus ahead of time. I reached college exactly at 7:55 a.m., which was earlier than my usual schedule. Since I had some free time, I walked towards the botany tank inside the campus. There, I sat quietly and began to admire the beauty of nature around me. The tall trees, the green plants, and the sweet chirruping of the birds created such a peaceful environment. For almost 20 minutes, I just sat there in silence, watching and listening. I realized that even though I had been in college for a long time, this was the very first time I was truly admiring nature so closely. The feeling was refreshing and calming.
